OFFICIAL STATEMENT OF R33 CAR EXCHANGE

 From Mr. Raymond Ronquillo

         OWNER R33 Car Exchange

My Friends,

I have been silent for the past days on the issues pertaining the BOC Composite Team visiting my showrooms, shops, drift track and my other business to purposely “check” the customs payments for the vehicles in our inventory. In the course of which they also put everything under constructive custody to date. We had just been busy and had complied with what was requested from us by the BOC. And I now take this time to express what is my take on the situation where me and my company are now, as I feel I owe it to everyone who knows and do not know me.

I am just an ordinary legitimate businessman who for the last 18 years been engaged in the business of buying and selling cars among my other enterprises. In the course of my business and social dealings, I get to meet and have met a lot of people, who would later on become my friends, clients, associates and mere acquaintances, from all walks of life.

Being friendly, trusting and helpful in nature, I don’t find faults in people nor pre-judge everyone whom I meet. Thus, I could say this is the reason that I have established a wide circle of friends and clients.

Among those whom I got to know through friends was a Korean guy. He was introduced to me by a common friend, and because of this friend, he got to hang out with us and got invited on several occasions. As he was always with my close circle of friends, like them, I treated him also as a friend and a brother. Even my staff and employees treated him well and with respect. I, on several instances, gave him friendly advices for both his personal and business activities when he asked me for them. He told me lots of things but I later found out some of them were either half-truths or blatant lies.

I trusted him with the same friendship that I gave to my friends. He knew that I value my name and reputation that I have built and protected in the business community, I did not expect him to do things which would later on put me, my company and reputation in bad light. I was not aware that in some of his business dealings, he would use my name and/or my company or give the impression to people that I was associated with his business and dealings. Worse, I found out that he used my name when he dealt with the people who brought his Ferrari here. People then were made to believe that I was the one who owns the car, or was the one who caused it to be brought here. Even worse was when he allegedly threatened a broker to have his car released using my name. He even used my company address in some of his dealings as we later received letters addressed to him but the mailing address is that of my office.

Everyone who knows me personally will attest that as a God-Fearing, honest, fair and legal businessman, it is against my nature to be aggressive, hostile or arrogant to anybody, much more threaten anyone.

I had previously issued a statement denying any business association with this Korean person, and I appreciated his also doing so in his social media account. However, with what he has done and for how long, I don’t know. It is really hard for some people to believe that I or my company is not really involved in this guy’s business. I understand that because this person is so fond of posting photos on social media, he always takes “selfies” with me and/or my friends. With so much photos and his words/statements to people of his association with me, one would really find it hard to believe that his association with me is purely friendship, nothing more.

I just pray now, in God’s grace, that all of this will pass and that we can re-open again and business will be back to normal.

I would just want to share to everyone, to please be careful of the people you are dealing with, specially with these kind of people, who would just want to take advantage anybody. Yes, they can or want to be friends with you, but they may have other motives for it. I have learned now to be more careful with my dealings.

I close this sharing with a quote from the movie, The Italian Job, “I trust everyone, I just don’t trust the devil inside them”.

To our loyal customers, friends, clients and future customers, we look forward to serving you again the soonest time possible.

Thank you.
